Our Story
Founded by friends Claire & Ness, Elm & Grey combines hand-poured fragrance with an interior designer’s approach to creating calm, beautifully layered homes.
What began as a shared love of interiors, fragrance and thoughtful styling has grown into a carefully curated collection of home fragrance and décor designed to work beautifully together - helping to create homes that feel warm, inviting and quietly luxurious.
With a background in interior design and years spent working on homes ranging from London residences to countryside retreats, Claire developed a deep understanding of how atmosphere shapes the way we experience a space. Ness’ perfumery training brought another layer to that vision: the ability to create fragrance that feels as considered and transformative as the interiors themselves.
Together, we created Elm & Grey - a brand rooted in the belief that fragrance should never feel like an afterthought in the home. Scent, texture, lighting and styling all work together to shape how a room feels, and it’s this balance that sits at the heart of everything we do.
From our Wiltshire studio, we hand-pour our collection of candles, diffusers, room sprays and hand & body products in small batches using premium fragrance oils and carefully chosen ingredients designed for both quality and performance.
Alongside our fragrance collection, we curate timeless home accessories, décor and seasonal pieces chosen with the same thoughtful eye - helping customers bring together homes that feel cohesive, calm and beautifully lived in.
Elm & Grey is not about chasing trends or creating perfect spaces. It’s about creating homes that feel welcoming, layered and personal - spaces that invite you to slow down, unwind and enjoy everyday living a little more.
